Shop My Pinterest: Halloween Party Inspo

With all the craziness that’s been going on around these parts, I’m really looking forward to getting back to (somewhat) normalcy. Hurricane Flo will not keep us from having a good time, especially when it comes to this childhood-favorite holiday. Halloween is for spooky costumes and entirely too much candy, and if the flood hasn’t receded by then, that’s not going to stop me. We will have one night of fun, damn it.

While I was in Maryland taking shelter from the storm, I couldn’t stop thinking about having a Halloween party – something to lift the spirits of our friends and new neighbors, even if it’s just something small. Plus, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t put a lot of weight on turning 408 into the “cool house” on Halloween. I will never be the woman giving out tooth brushes and sugar-free gum.
So, this is just a short but sweet post to share what I had in mind. If you saw my fall decor inspo post, you know that my house is already decked out in the usual fall gear. My goal is to make all the Halloween decorations match so I don’t have to completely redecorate.
Even though we were so lucky to not sustain any damage in the hurricane, I still wanted to donate supplies to our local community (check out this post here with my cute husband delivering food, water, tarps, and more) so balling out on expensive decorations seemed frivolous and unnecessary. Instead, I found tons of budget options from Target and everywhere in between, plus pieces that I can make work outside the month of October.
