For me, cleaning is so therapeutic. We’ve been spending way more time that usual at home lately, as you can imagine. Thanks, COVID-19. Honestly, I can’t say I’ve been hating it. Tanner has been home from work and we’ve all spent so much more time together as a family. You can tell that Annie has been really enjoying it. But spending so much time in your house can sometimes make you feel like you’re never satisfied. There is always something that needs to be done. The laundry is never ending. We’ve never made so many dishes in our entire lives. And if I have to cook another meal, I’m going to lose it.

But staying on top of a regular cleaning routine makes me feel like I have a little bit more control, and that’s a blessing and a half. If I can knock out a few loads of laundry and tidy up Annie’s toys, I feel like a new woman.

I’ve been sharing lots of cleaning motivation videos on my YouTube channel lately. If you’re one of my first subscribers, I’d just like to say THANK YOU TIMES A MILLION. I seriously never thought that I would enjoy making videos so much. A few months ago, being in front of the camera scared the almighty crap out of me. But at a certain point, you just have to say, “SCREW IT. BE BRAVE.” And I’m so glad I did!

If you’re looking for some cleaning motivation, I hope you can find your cup of tea in one of these cleaning videos.

Cleaning Videos To Chill You Out

If you’re anything like me, you think cleaning videos are like ASMR for homemakers. Power hour cleans can be really motivating to get a lot done in a short amount of time (I think it has something to do with the pump up music that’s always playing in the background.) but I like to take my time and turn house cleaning into a little self care routine. This relaxing rainy day clean with me video is just the thing.

Extreme Cleaning Motivation

If you’ve been dreading scouring the bathroom for a few days now and you just need to bite the bullet, this is the video I’d recommend. No one likes to do it. But it helps if you’ve got a YouTube buddy cheering you on the whole way. I nearly broke my back scrubbing out Annie’s tub in this one.

Disaster Post-Party Clean Up

This is my most popular cleaning video I ever made. It was the morning after the Super Bowl, when I found pizza and cookies ground into my beautiful antique rug and sectional. Needless to say, this one took a while. If you’ve got a major mess to clean up, or if your house is just naturally destroyed by a flock of wild children, you’ll get plenty of cleaning motivation here.

Leave a comment to let me know which video you watched! It’s still crazy to me that any more than two people watch videos that I make. What a crazy world we live in that people actually want to watch us clean on the internet. It’s wild. I always link anything you see in the videos in the descriptions, but here are a few links to some of my favorites.

I also made a blog post about all of my favorite cleaning products, including a review of our Dyson, Roomba, and steam mop to see which are worth spending your hard earned dollars on. Check it out here, and just know that it means the MOST to me when you use my links. Thanks for helping a girl out. Here are the few pictures I got of our little family at Easter. Things looked so different this year, and I know the same is true for your family. But we still had an amazing time and count ourselves so lucky.
